Join our fast growing Biotech company located in the heart of San Diego's research center.-- We are seeking an experienced Lab Technician who thrives in a startup environment.Title: Lab TechnicianPay rate: $21/hr with opportunities for increase after 90 daysTerm: This is a full time opportunity!Location: San Diego, CADescription:--

• Provide support during manufacturing process of viruses and bacteria.
• Assist with general cell culture for production of viruses in tissue culture.
• Preparing media and solutions.
• Assist with running assays for quality control.
• Monitor various laboratory equipment including freezers, refrigerators and incubators. Record temperature, pressure, and CO2 gas levels.
• Route records for appropriate review signatures and maintain files of completed records.
• General clerical and administrative tasks including scanning, sorting, and filing documents.
• Assist with routine laboratory maintenance and cleaning.Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry
  • 1-2 years industry work
  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and basic laboratory facilities and equipment.
  • Competent in proper pipetting techniques and experience in serial dilutions, dilution factors, and calculation of final dilutions.
  • Basic understanding of the scientific method and scientific notation.
