The Community Associate is the first point of contact for Kiln community members and acts as the "face" of Kiln. The Community Associate is responsible for all day-to-day activities within a Kiln community. The Community Associate is expected to be on-site in the community Monday through Friday during established working hours, and may occasionally need to perform work outside of these hours as needs arise.

Goals and Objectives:

* Personifies Kiln's core values and strives to achieve our mission
* Create a welcoming and collaborative community environment amongst our members through events and building relationships between members
* Ensure that Kiln facilities are fully operational and processes are running smoothly
* Drive growth and promotion of Kiln-provided service offerings

Key Relationships:

* Kiln members and guests
* Cross-functionality between other locations
* Liaison between Kiln and Vendors and Suppliers
* Liaison between Kiln & Janitorial Company

Major Responsibilities:

Responsible for the functionality and organization of the community including front-desk, main lobby, storage areas, mail room, and greater Kiln office space.

Primarily responsible for, but not limited to, the following areas of responsibility:
Front desk

* Cheerful and friendly greeting of Kiln members and guests
* Site opening procedures
* Check-in process for tours, guests & events
* Answer phone
* Organization, cleanliness and restocking of front desk area
* Responsibility for daily mail/package service & accurate distribution to members
* Conduct tours for guests and prospective members
* Collaborate with business development to collect in-bound leads

Membership Management

* Be the first point of contact for all membership inquiries, execute tours and communicate Kiln value proposition to potential new members
* Trouble-shoot member-related issues to ensure a friction-free member experience
* Identify member issues requiring escalation


* Manage maintenance ticketing portal
* Liaison between Kiln & Janitorial Company to ensure building cleanliness including promptly taking care of spills and other daily messes
* Fob management
* Check on cleanliness of kitchens, bathrooms, and common area space throughout the day and attend to them as needed.

Misc Admin Tasks

* Development of new organizational systems for inventory as needed
* Inventory/purchasing/restocking of supplies for the site including printer station, kitchen, bathroom, etc.
* Preparation of communication to members including
* Emails and Slack messages

2pm-4pm give or take 30min.

Ideal Experience and Skills:

* Partial completion of a college degree preferred, not required.
* Customer service or support experience
* Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
* Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
* Demonstrates integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, follow through and empathy
* Passion for entrepreneurial communities
* Passion and understanding for Kiln's mission and values
* Proficient in basic computer skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

* Day shift
* Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:
