Job Description

Pay range for this position is $20.14-$22.59.

This is an intermediate level position to work as a Yard Rigger. Applicants may be assigned to a variety of Y02 Trade tasks, including (but not limited to): selecting and assembling rigging gear, determining load capacities of gear, attaching and un-attaching loads to lifting gear, performing basic hand rigging, service lifts, drift lifts, operating mobile equipment, and inspecting rigging gear.

Required/Preferred Education/Training

Required – High School Diploma or GED. Required – More than 1 year previous rigging experience. Preferred – Crane experience.

Required/Preferred Experience

Required - Must be able to work on ships, on the ground, and in all buildings. Required - Must be able to identify the correct type sling for a given application Required - Must be able to determine sling angles and associated capacities. Required - Must demonstrate usage and understanding of "Standard Hand Signals". Required - Must meet the requirements of the Y02 physical task analysis. Preferred – Ability to explain basic terms such as: Load Radius, Working Load Ratings, Gross Capacity, Net Capacity, Rated Capacity, Sling Angle and Usage Criteria.

This opportunity is located in Bath, Maine. Relocation is provided to all candidates outside of 100 miles who relocate to the area.
