Launched in 2024, eLxr Pro addresses challenges of edge-to-cloud deployments, providing a secure, lightweight enterprise Linux based on Debian.As Product Manager for eLxr (Pro and Project), you will own the end-to-end strategy and roadmap. You will gather input from customers, sales, market research, support teams, and partners to define the future of enterprise Linux at Wind River, focusing on the edge.You will manage existing projects, collaborate with other product managers, write requirements, justify investments, prioritize the backlog, conduct market research, analyze competitors, support sales efforts, review defects, engage with extended teams, and promote eLxr Pro and Project internally and externally.You will work closely with experienced engineering and product management teams.About YouYou are an experienced business leader passionate about building great software, with an affinity for open-source software, Linux, and related technologies.

• 8+ years managing the entire product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life
• Experience managing open-source or Linux-based products
• Experience with strategic planning, roadmap development, feature prioritization, Agile methodologies, the Product Owner role, and project management
• Experience writing engineering requirements
• Ability to rationalize business needs against technical products
• Strong understanding of the Linux ecosystem and open source enterprise solutions
• Knowledge of security, containerization, orchestration, cloud technologies, and constructs like Kubernetes
• Excellent analytical, communication, and collaborative skills
• Effective presenter, public speaker, and advocate for customers and products
• Experience supporting customers, sales, and strategic partnerships
• Ability to navigate product, services, marketing, strategy, and technical discussions
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Engineering, Computer Science, or MBA is a plusModerate travel (5-10%) may be required. The role is based in Walnut Creek, CA; San Diego, CA; or Boston, MA, with on-site presence three days per week. US or Canadian citizenship is required.Benefits and Compensation
