Our vibrant team is dedicated to serving the community with the highest quality of patient care. \n\n \n\n Social Workers provide an important role within the hospital by assisting patient and families with personal and environmental problems which predispose illness or which interfere with their obtaining maximum benefits from medical care. In this role you will: \n\n \n\n\n\tProvide peer supervision for other staff, education for social work interns and/or assist with program planning and organization of services. \n\tProvide coverage for the ED and Med/Surg floors\n\tDemonstrate ability to perform competencies as outlined in unit specific competency assessment tools. Demonstrates age specific care as established for a Clinical Social Worker in assigned area.\n\tWork collaboratively with another team member and plan your schedules to cover all necessary shifts\n\n\n \n\n This is a full time (32 hours/week) 8 Hour varied day shift position.\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:\n\n\n\tInternal candidates\n\tRehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago\n\n\n In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met\n\n\n\tMust remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)\n\tMust remain in original department/specialty\n\tMust remain in original Job Title\n\tTransfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.\n\n Required Qualifications:\n\n \n\n\n\tMasters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited University/College OR Masters in Family Therapy (MFT)\n\tMFT applicants must have prior hospital experience\n\tBLS for Healthcare Provider American Heart Association\n\tWorking knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies and appeal procedures as relative to the Federal, State and other reimbursement programs\n\tMust be able to display good working relationships with patients, families, medical and nursing personnel, and all others employed at the hospital\n\n\n \n\n Preferred Qualifications: \n\n\n\tAcute Care Hospital experience\n\tLCSW (Licensed by the State of CA Behavioral Science Examiners Board)\n\n Scripps Health is an equal opportunity employer.
