As Coordinator Patient Relations - Risk Management you will provide risk management services including planning, developing, monitoring, entering, and reporting data from the database related to patient relations and privacy incidents. You'll play an integral role by following up on events and working toward process improvement with the different departments. You will assist with claims management including monitoring and resolving patient relations cases in coordination with the site risk manager. Be an advocate for concerned patients and family members during or after their stay, or receipt of service in the facility. Listen to issues, investigate concerns, and provide feedback to requesting individual(s). You will routinely be responsible for writing letters and preparing reports to support this role. Your time will be split visiting with Patients and their families "patientadvocacy", complaint resolution and privacy event follow-up. This is an 8-hour shift position located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.
