Summary:The Customer Development Manager acts as the key point of contact for Product, Sales, and Marketing, ensuring the connection between Marketing Strategies and Sales strategies to ensure flawless execution and delivery of business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support field sales teams with business planning, brand interaction, and top to top meetings, including leading customer-specific needs for selected retailers through working with our marketing, brand, creative, and product development team
  • Develop and communicate sales strategies, selling materials, and point of sale materials that are consistent with Product, Sales, and Marketing objectives and gain the desired results from the business
  • Participate in the sales account business planning process to develop an optimized plan which will drive key objectives and maximize trade participation, acceptance, and performance
  • Participate in customer calls to provide support to the field, provide a national perspective and gain insights to use in strategic and tactical planning. Be the external face of the brand.
  • Sales lead for all internal new product and innovation discussions to provide input and direction (ideation to commercialization)
  • Develop annual business release materials providing the sales team with strategic business priorities while leveraging market analysis and shopper trends.
  • Partner with Demand Planning and Supply Planning teams on the monthly S&OP process.
  • Create and implement new tools to help the sales team work more efficiently
  • Manage and develop the category analyst
    Required Skills / Experience / Competencies:
    • 5+ years of Sales Planning, Customer Development, and/or Business Development Experience
    • Super user of Nielsen, IRI, and Customer Specific data tools
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
    • Strong Communication and Presentation Skills
    • Proven ability to collaborate with people across all levels and functional areas
    • Must be extremely organized and able to work under moving deadlines
    • Demonstrate ability to think strategically and drive execution vs. goals.
      Preferred Skills / Experience / Competencies:
      • Sales/Marketing experience in a seasonal business
