About the Role As a Substitute Teacher , you’ll play an essential role in maintaining a positive learning experience when classroom teachers are absent. You’ll deliver engaging lessons, support student learning, and ensure continuity in instruction across grade levels from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade . This is a part-time, on-call position ideal for educators seeking flexibility, experience, and the chance to contribute to a mission-driven school community. What You’ll Do Implement lesson plans and classroom activities provided by the regular teacher. Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment. Manage student behavior effectively to promote a safe and productive atmosphere. Support students’ academic and social-emotional development. Collaborate with school staff and administrators to ensure continuity of instruction. Maintain accurate attendance and classroom records as needed.
